Problems of our partners are our challenges

Our business orientation is focused on two domains:

- products and services
- complex projects

We see our mission in the promotion of Croatian export, primarily of small and medium-sized companies, and substitution of imported goods with domestic products.

In the domain of products and services we offer support to domestic manufacturers of goods and services whose products and knowledge are able to compete on international market. Astra is a moderator of their position by promoting and building market identity and integrating their products and knowledge with other complementary products and knowledge, which increases added value of domestic manufacturers.

Our goal in trading is the promotion of commodity export in different forms of foreign trade activities, including barter trade, foreign firm representation, reexport and lohn activities, in which we import raw and industrial materials for a well-known domestic partner and then, as their exporter, place their final products on the international market.

We find the inspiration for realization of complex projects in the fact that in Croatia there are small and medium-sized companies which have the knowledge and products ready to be introduced to the international market. These companies are often not interconnected so they develop independently. The true value of their products can be assessed only by integration in highly profiled projects, and that can be achieved with their active role as equal partners in projects that take place in Croatia, and with imported “know-how” which does not exist in Croatia.

We see our company as an integrator of projects in which a foreign partner is not a project holder enjoying benefits of extra profit, but one of the equal participants, specifically in the part in which in Croatia there are not any products and “know-how”. With becoming a part of the project, benefits are guaranteed for both parties: Croatian partners encourage development and acquire references, and foreign partner expands the data base of co-operators. The result is a shared competitive product, ready to be introduced to new markets. The social benefit is the substitution of import, which indirectly increases the export.
